I have created this blog in memory of our son, Eric Curtis Meadows, delivered stillborn on May 11, 2006. I am journalizing my memories of that time in an effort to compile our story; to one day share it with others in hopes of helping another parent who may be facing what we did.

March of Dimes - March for Babies
Every year, half a million babies in the U.S. are born prematurely. Premature birth is the leading cause of newborn death and many life long disabilities. The funds we raise in March for Babies support research that saves babies' lives.
The mission of March of Dimes is to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth, and infant mortality.
Your gift will support March of Dimes research and programs that help moms have full-term pregnancies and babies begin healthy lives. And it will be used to bring comfort and information to families with a baby in newborn intensive care.

"Heaven is for Real"
My dad gave me this book yesterday, he sat and read the entire book in one sitting, he said it was good, he said it would make me cry....Chapter 17 did, when the little boy, Colton tells his mom he met his sister in Heaven...a baby the mom lost due to a miscarriage before becoming pregnant w/her son Colton."But Sonja had told me that to her, the miscarriage not only scarred her heart with grief, but it also felt like a personal failure." "I will carry you..."
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J2CnUtVY35o
Shortly after learning that her unborn child's condition would be terminal, Angie Smith (Selah) found herself compelled to write a love letter, a song, to the precious daughter living inside her. Titled “I Will Carry You,” Angie wrote it as a way to tell Audrey, her unborn child, about experiences she longed to have with her, but knew the two would never share.
